Here in Maine, as the fall days begin to grow shorter, our thoughts turn to Kitchen lighting. Is it adequate for us to see the dishes we're washing and the food we're cooking? If we installed new kitchen light fixtures, would we perhaps find some of the utensils lost long ago, which slid between our appliances? If we never install the lights, and never see the utensils, are they still there?
It's a koan for modern times.
Peace,
